I had already spent a good bit of money on the old computer that I had, about a year ago it broke on me and I took it to a Calgary computer repair shop where they replaced the central processing unit on it. I still have it and I will keep it as a back up computer, but it is not very great compared to the applications that I am running right now. I have been working a lot in Adobe Photoshop and some other programs that use a lot of resources. That was a bit more than the old computer could stand. At least it could not do what I wanted it to do reliably and without being a huge pain. It would crash on occasion, but more often you would be forced to give up on trying to do any other thing while it was busy with the process of rendering in photoshop. I would not have minded this if the process had been more speedy, but you are talking about a half of an hour or more where the computer is unusable because there is no left over resources.
Of course if you are a pro then you probably have to get a special computer for these sorts of tasks, maybe get one computer that does nothing except render your projects while you do the work on a different computer. I thought about doing that, but I would have had two unsatisfactory computers and instead it was easier to just have this guy I met build me a pretty nice machine. I did not put much money in it, but it is about twice as good of a machine as I could have afforded if I had gone to the Best Buy down town and bought one.Keep Scanning
